about us

GREEDYTREES is a micro web development and design company based in Westfield, New Jersey. We're a partnership of two students who learn by day and design and code by night, like superheroes. Charles is a freshman at the University of Chicago and Cheryl is a junior at Westfield High School. He does heavy duty backend programming and functionality; she does frontend, branding, and graphic design. You can think of us as the left brain and the right brain.

Together, we provide both strong vision and technical excellence; we can create anything, from elegant, static pages to innovative web applications. The best part? We hand code and design every aspect of your website. We never use templates or website editors. The result is efficient, refined code.

We're students, and we understand that money isn't infinite. We price based on the project, but a good guide for your very own GREEDYTREES-designed website:

Small site/blog with limited programming ~ less than $1000
  • Usually 1 - 5 pages
  • Includes custom design (Everything we do is hand-coded. We never, ever use templates.)
  • Programming can include a simple custom content management system (CMS), an adaptation of already existing CMS, or a simple shopping cart

    A CMS lets you easily edit content on your website without having to mess with the formatting or code.
    By shopping cart, we mean e-commerce, like an online storefront.

  • This option fits most users needs.
Larger site/blog with extensive programming ~ $1000+
  • Many pages with lots of content.
  • Highly artistic design with detailed graphics
  • Extensive programming. Entire custom CMS, custom shopping carts, or a custom social media system.
  • Developing a completely new idea which requires significant programming.
  • Deep Facebook integration or Facebook application development

    Custom social medium system: member logins, for people to interact with and on your website.

  • This is more for commercial sites, or for websites that require far more functionality than normal (e.g., creating a database and submission system)
